Beta

Hey All, Not long left now. I'm just here to discuss my beta and how it's going. Well i can that I haven't run into any issues yet, I think my main problem through-out this whole game making process was not having a mouse. When not having a mouse it slows down the process a lot. All my elements for the final part of the game are not yet in but they will be there when I'm displaying my game for the final time. I am praying that it wont delete on me as it already has a few times on me, which is stressing me out to bits. With regards to meeting my plans, I'm not doing the game I set out to make a few weeks ago, I decided that I would make a much simpler game and not stress myself out too much. The game should be finished fully by the needed deadline. Thats the plan anyway. Source me

Unity Free Tutorials

Hey, For this weeks unity free tutorials I watched the tutorial on how to make a collectable and scoring system. I thought this would be a good tutorial for me because in my game I wanted to have a scoring system for my game for when the player of the game will use the character to go around the map to collect coins, when they collect the coins I want it to show how many coins they have collected. The first video starts out with Jimmy Vegas having stars on the screen, he was using the stars as the items he was going to collect. He adds the text score because this will display the score when the coins are collected, even though Jimmy is using stars I want to use coins because I think they will be easier to make. Jimmy places the score text on the top of the screen so when the character looks up they can see the score. i'm going to bring this into my game because I like the idea of it. (Source Pinterest)

Games Testing

Hey, Just here to give my thoughts on this weeks readings, this week is to do with game testing. This is relevant to me because next week we will all be showing our game designs to the class. The first reading was on criticism, whether it's the good, bad and the ugly like it says on the first reading. Reading one was about how to give someone criticism, why it's good to give someone criticism and does one take criticism. I think this was a goos reading because some people don't know how to take criticism and they take it as a negative thing.  Giving Criticism . In the second reading is all on testing games. The reading said that the designer should aim towards a goal and go in that direction. As a designer it's important that you can play test your game.  Testing (Source Pinterest)
