Workshop 01.
Hey just here to talk about the workshop 1 that i did. At first we were introduced to each other and then we got told what was expected of us throughout the year and what different things we would do out through the year. After we were introduced were told to get into to groups of either 2-3. I was in a group of 3. In our group of 3 we told to figure out the way the traffic system works and use a flowchart or a sequence chart to show the the steps.
The group I was with along with the other groups were given about 20 minutes to complete the task on how do traffic lights work. I think at first it seemed really hard because I think we as a group we were over complicating it. Even tho we spent 20 minutes on the task we ended up getting it wrong because we tried to over thing it. But really it was really simple. While the cars going northbound and southbound are on green they both go together and east and westbound are on red while this is happening. Then when the east and westbound are on green, north and southbound are on red.
On the delivery of this exercise I'm not sure how i felt about it because usually you would be taught a little bit about it, but I suppose it was fun in the end because when we got the answer wrong I really wanted to know the correct answer. I liked how we were put into groups because if I had to do that on my own I would of lost the plot over thinking it. I think i was so interested in this task because I thought it was looking for some big over complicated answer but instead it was quite simple.
My experience writing about this exercise was weird. While writing this I didn't really know what to write for this because I haven't really done this before.
