I'M here to give my thoughts on the readings for this week. In the first reading it starts off by saying that every game doesn't need a strong story, it also says that there's many games out there that has the potential to be a good game. The article basically says that the problem is that the game designers come from other jobs so they might need help to get to know the full idea of the game. Theres good books on game design but very few of them tell you how to start with a idea and turn it into a design.The writer of the article says the hardest job in game design is when you get the initial idea or concept and turn it into a game.

The second reading was from What every game developer needs to know about story by John Sutherland. The article starts off by saying that the story is the hot part of the game. This is because the quality of games are rising in the young art form. As the games get more advanced the people want more in the game in order to get a good experience in the game. The article says that game developers want to sell their games to people but they don't want to sell the same idea but that doesn't lead to any growth. When making a game, you take look at the story and how it works in other forms and how it's unique from other games.
The third article was the additional readings was Stories and games. These readings started off by saying that games can be art. It's an argument that has been going on for years. The article gives reasons and one is fun, and how to make games more enjoyable. The second one is that they want to het people who are new to get involved in the discussion.
