Unity free tutorial
Hi,
For this weeks unity tutorial I was told to pick my own tutorials and write my thoughts and if I thought they were useful. I chose a tutorial from the legend himself Jimmy Vegas. The tutorial was about how to pick up and throw objects using unity. I thought this would be useful for my game. Jimmy first showed how to pick up an item by first using script for it. For the script he goes into visual studio to begin the process of it. When Jimmy was in visual studio he types out the script for being being able to pick up an object and being able to move it. He also turned off the gravity and typed in the code for which button to use to activate it. He also puts in when you let go of the object that the gravity will turn back on, he said this can also be used for throwing objects.
The second video I watched was on background music. I think this is very important because if you're playing a game the music is the thing that could make the player concentrate or get them in the zone/rhythm. In this video the guy in the video says to import anything of your choice, he gives your specific setting to do and says to put the audio on loop so there isn't any silence.
